Welcome to this month’s Notable & Quotable! Before we get to the N&Q I need to let you know the omnibus, Lords of Order & Chaos, and Stalking Shadows (Book IV in the Lords of Order & Chaos series / Book VII in the Bloodlines Reforged Saga) are now available on Amazon and Kindle!
Now, for the Notable & Quotable!
“How can that be?” Eljen Unglau exclaimed in this secluded level of the Blue Tower. “An escape from our dungeon; the second in a century. A founding member killed. Another mage absconded. A theft from within our very walls, and now this!”
“Ease yourself, Unglau,” Morden Desch said from his comfortable chair near the fireplace, his pale fingertips slowly drumming together. “All these things are marvelous curiosities, don’t you think?”
“No doubt your feud with Lynneare has had some hand in this; however, I find the idea of a Lord of Order and Chaos Lord working together to kill Slythorne a very interesting notion.”
“Notion? It shouldn’t even be possible. The champions within them should be rioting at any hint of cooperation of the one with the other.”
This month’s Character Bio: Truthorne, aka Slythorne. Oh, boy. Truthorne has the potential for his own saga, if not series. He was born a nobleman, the son of a lord with vast lands. The family crest featured twin dragons which, before the Battles of Rending, symbolized loyalty; loyalty to the Church of Time and to the King, Ivant. Attempting to maintain this dual loyalty and misplaced faith was his downfall. You can read more about him here: Bloodlines Reforged Wiki
You can find an ever-growing glossary and geographic guide on our website here: Bloodlines Reforged, and dive into the lore of Stratvs at our official wiki page here: Bloodlines Reforged Saga Wiki. You can also join other fans in our Facebook discussion group here: Facebook Group
Our book mentions this month include Loss of the Unbound, by Luna Fox and F. Lowberry. “Chaos in the making… One year has passed since the terrible events at Eldenhaven–one year since the bond shared between Kalindra and Rina was severed. One year since war was declared by Lundell upon Dracomancers, and one year since Parthenis has known nothing but war…”
I also need to let you know about Heirs of Power, by Kay Macleod. “Those gifted with power don’t get to choose a normal life.
Kitty Fairlow’s hunting skills come from more than years of protecting her secluded village. She inherited an ancient spirit, a secret long kept, even from her. Until now.”
As to life here in our own little corner of the world, we are all doing well.
We thoroughly enjoyed all the Halloween celebrations and a gathering of friends and family made my birthday one of the best in years!
