Welcome to this month’s Notable & Quotable! First, I have to tell you about the first annual Texas Author Con Sunday, July 10th, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. being held at the Hilton Garden Inn Dallas/Richardson 1001 W President George Bush Turnpike, Richardson, Texas 75080. There will be autographs, giveaways and it’ll be your chance to meet some really brilliant authors… and I’ll be there too.
Now on to your Notable & Quotable. This month’s N&Q comes from one of our gaming sessions last month.
Player 1: I’ll go with you, that way you’ll have a pimp buddy along!
Player 2: Dude, I’m a paladin. I already have a pimp buddy.

Our book mentions this month start with Heir to Malla, by Anna Bushi. “In medieval Magadha, a young princess stands alone between the throne and an enemy horde.” It’s FREE on Kindle Unlimited!
The second mention this month is Star Binder, by Mark Timmony. For five hundred years since the Sundering, the order of the Shaluay Starbinders has been dwindling. With their Starwells lying dormant, key artefacts of their order lost and their seers driven mad by the powers that broke the world, only one hope remains to the man who leads them; a fifteen year old girl. You can download it for FREE from the link above.
As to life here in our own little corner of the world, we are all doing well. Our foreign exchange students had to go home in June and there were tears all around. I’m confident we’ll see them again… they LOVE Texas barbeque. Michelle and I took a day to hit the ComiCon in Dallas, Fanexpo and had a great time. I got to meet Cara Dune (Gina Carano), herself! I was not drunk in the picture with her. I think maybe that’s just the effect she has on me.

Until next time,
