This week’s Notable and Quotable is from a gaming session about 2 years ago. The names have been withheld to protect the guilty. We were running a homebrew campaign (we used Rolemaster and Spacemaster rules to create a pen&paper RPG set in the Fallout universe).
Player 1 – Hey, player 2, are you good on guns and ammo? We can help you with any of it if there’s something you don’t understand.
Player 2 – I’m good. I know all about firearms.
Player 1 – Cool.
Payer 2 – Hey, I have something on my inventory sheet I don’t understand. I have 45 of something called ‘ACP’. Any idea what that is?
Whole Room except Player 2 bursts into laughter.
For those of you that don’t know, .45 A.C.P. is a common pistol caliber and the acp stands for Automatic Colt Pistol (it’s actually semi-auto but hey, tell that to John Moses Browning).
Enjoy your weekend, folks.
Until next time, RJ
